Marketing Mindsets
In this section, you will find suggestions and ideas on how to develop a marketing mindset in virtually all phases of your activities with other people. In any interface, given a few moments of conversation, there will always be some conversational "bridge" that will be a logical introduction to your business -- if your mindset is ready to grasp the opportunity.
If you develop a marketing mindset, you will notice when someone speaks to you about anything, there will shortly be a link to where you want to go. It may be related to insufficient money -- "my transmission just went out on my best car and they are so expensive ..." or "my daughter needs braces and you know what that means ..." etc. If they mention they or someone they know is struggling with a health issue or weight management, you know where that will lead. If they mention any hint of never having enough time to do the things they should or want to, network marketing is designed to lead someone to a better lifestyle. If they hate their job or the commute to work each day, or are frustrated with their boss -- another ideal conversational bridge. If they don't like where they live, you can live anywhere and do network marketing. At this point, the idea should be obvious if you are working on a marketing mindset.
You don't have to be clever in these conversations. Just be yourself. You are talking to them in terms you both understand and can relate to. Most of us have just had our retirement wiped out in the stock market or have been downsized in a corporation. These are very real for all of us. The real key is listening carefully to what they are saying, not just with their words, but with their gestures and body language as well. Sense their frustration and feel the passion they have for things to be different. In most cases, you can relate with them -- you have been there yourself. We all have dreams that have not been realized. Help them find a new way to get theirs and your rewards will be compounded.
